Artist Bio

Stormstress strikes with electrifying riffs, thunderous grooves, and infectious melodies in this vicious, all-female, hard rock/heavy metal American power trio. The band was born amidst a powerful bomb cyclone storm that hit Boston in October of 2019. Made up of Identical mirror-image twins and Berklee College of Music alumni, guitarist/vocalist Tanya Venom, bassist/vocalist Tia Mayhem and premier women’s international drum competition, Hit Like A Girl 2014, finalist Maddie May Scott, these three wildly ambitious and seasoned players make Stormstress a force to be reckoned with. Influenced by hard rock and metal bands like Halestorm, Avenged Sevenfold, and Led Zeppelin, their sound is shaped by heavy riffs and melodic vocals paired with high-energy, bombastic live performances. Award-winning songwriters, Tanya Venom and Tia Mayhem, write primarily about self-empowerment, individuality, and breaking boundaries while delivering a unique dual frontwoman experience.
